One look at his face and it is easy to see why he catches everyone’s attention. Puppy #8871 is a Cocker Spaniel boy with a two-tone coat: rich chocolate curls on his head and long ears, and a clean white muzzle, chest and front paws, with soft blue-gray puppy eyes that look straight into the camera. In his photos he lies comfortably in a plush gray bed against a red wall, chin resting forward, wearing a navy bandana sprinkled with light-blue dots. If you are exploring Cocker Spaniel Puppies for Sale Miami and love a parti-color look, he is ready to meet you at Puppies To Go.

He was born on August 23, 2026, so he is almost nine weeks old today. His pose is calm and a little bit shy, the kind of quiet watchfulness you see in a thoughtful puppy taking in a new room. His dark ears hang in loose waves on both sides of his white face, framing it like a portrait. He seems happiest curled up close, which makes him a wonderful match for a household that enjoys relaxed evenings together.

What Parti-Color Means

In the Cocker Spaniel world, a puppy with two or more solid colors where one of them is white is called a parti-color. His combination of chocolate and white is one of the most eye-catching versions. The white areas on his muzzle and chest are bright and clean, while the chocolate on his head and ears is deep and even. Some parti-colored Cockers also develop light freckles of color, called ticking, within the white areas as they mature, so his look may become even more unique with time. Those blue-gray eyes are typical of young puppies and will likely darken to a warm brown over the coming weeks.

His First Week in a New Home

The first days in a new home set the tone for everything that follows. A little planning helps a gentle puppy like him feel safe quickly.

Things to Prepare

• A quiet resting spot: A crate or small pen with a soft blanket, placed where he can still see the family.
• A steady schedule: Meals, naps and potty breaks at roughly the same times each day.
• Chew toys: Teething begins soon, so offer rubber and rope toys early.
• His current food: Ask our team what he eats now to avoid sudden diet changes.

Expect some extra sleep during his first week, plus a few curious explorations of every corner. Keep greetings low-key and let him approach new people at his own pace.

Potty and Crate Training Basics

Take him outside right after he wakes up, after every meal and after play. Choose one spot, use a simple cue word and praise him warmly when he goes. Accidents are normal at this age, so clean them calmly with an enzyme cleaner and keep going. Make the crate a happy place with a treat and a toy inside, and never use it as punishment. Most Cocker puppies catch on quickly because they are eager to please.

Socialization for a Sensitive Soul

Cockers are affectionate and can be sensitive, so gentle exposure to the world helps them grow into confident adults. Let him hear the doorbell, the blender and the vacuum from a distance, meet calm visitors and walk on tile, carpet and grass at home. Handle his paws, ears and mouth every day with treats so grooming and vet visits feel routine. Your veterinarian will tell you when it is safe to explore public places as his vaccines continue.

Keeping White Fur Bright

A parti-colored coat needs a little extra attention to keep the white areas clean. Wipe his muzzle gently after meals, check the corners of his eyes daily and brush his coat several times a week. Bathe him with a mild puppy shampoo about once a month, and dry his ears completely afterward. A professional trim every six to eight weeks keeps his curls neat and comfortable in Miami’s warm weather.

American or English Cocker?

People sometimes ask about the difference between the two Cocker breeds. The American Cocker Spaniel, the breed most families in the United States know, is a little smaller, with a rounder head, a shorter muzzle and a fuller coat. The English Cocker Spaniel is slightly taller with a longer muzzle. Adult American males usually stand about 14.5 to 15.5 inches tall and weigh roughly 25 to 30 pounds, and the breed commonly lives around 10 to 14 years.
